Eagles Aerospace Teams Up with Museum of Aviation for Exciting Pilot Survival Camp!

[Warner Robins, 10/7/23] — Eagles Aerospace, a leader in aviation education, launched an exciting collaboration with the Museum of Aviation with a new Saturday STEM Lab that introduced middle school students to the exciting world of pilot survival training.

The innovative class immersed students in a real-world survival scenario. Participants role-played as pilots who have just ejected from their aircraft, and learned critical skills to avoid “enemy patrols” and outsmart potential dangers on their way to a friendly helicopter rescue.

“Our goal is to inspire the next generation of aviators by providing them with hands-on experiences that build confidence and leadership,” said Patch Olde , Director of Education at Eagles Aerospace. “This program not only teaches survival skills but also emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability—qualities essential for any future aviator.”

The training took place at the Museum of Aviation, a renowned institution dedicated to preserving the history and future of flight. The museum’s vast outdoor facilities provide the perfect backdrop for immersive learning experiences.

Students engaged in various activities, including building shelters, sourcing food and water, and navigation exercises, all while working collaboratively to solve challenges. Sessions are led by experienced instructors from Eagles Aerospace, many of whom have backgrounds in aviation and survival training.

“This is not just a class; it’s an adventure,” Patch added. “We’re excited to see the creativity and resilience these young learners will bring to the experience.”

As Eagles Aerospace and the Museum of Aviation embark on this new initiative, they are set to inspire a new generation of young aviators with the skills and confidence to soar to new heights.
